At the front of the site there are parking spaces for residents' cars, and there are covered areas with recharging points for electric buggies. There is a path suitable for wheelchairs around the back of the main building, a rose garden and a croquet lawn.

The gardens are maintained by a full-time gardener who has additional help in the busier seasons. A few residents choose to maintain small areas of the garden.
