Dirk van Dijl
Dirk joined the Homes in 2010 for a period of 2 years and is still there after 9 years, loving every minute. He has the title of Business Manager but is also the Responsible Person when it comes to CQC. Dirk is responsible for strategy and business operations and processes and helps Residents with any computer issues. He is extremely proud that over 30% of the Residents are connected to the internet in some way, from a simple weekly Skype call, to Residents with laptops, PCs and tablets.
Dirk holds a MBA in Finance and a BA in Economics and has many years of experience managing a wide range of companies. BBCH is his first experience in care but he is a quick learner.
Trudi has spent almost 30 years at the Homes, starting as a carer quickly moving into management positions, which she has held for at least 15 years. In addition to having the title of Principal Care Manager, Trudi is also the Registered Manager. The ties Trudi has with the Homes are too great to mention. She has lived in the Homes for almost all of her career, got married in the Homes and puts her daughters to work there when needed. Even her mother gets roped into the fundraising events.
Trudi holds the City & Guilds Advanced Management for Care and NVQ Registered Managers Award but her biggest assets to the Homes are her experience in the sector as well as the Homes.
