In July, John Asquith visited the V&A Museum with Mandie & Maria. He arranged to meet an old friend Junita whom he met at the British Society of Master Glass Painters. Junita used to work at the V&A as a Conservator. In the morning they viewed some new galleries exhibiting furnishings and decor from the medieval to renaissance period. John is particularly interested in design and materials , and was delighted when they viewed medieval enamels made partly with glass which is Junita’s specialist subject. After looking in the galleries they enjoyed lunch in the courtyard garden. John said ‘It was lovely to see so many people enjoying the gardens that are situated in the middle of the museum and I feel very privileged to have Mandi & Maria make it possible to go on the trip to the V&A’.
