At Bernhard Baron Care Home our complete focus is on care and providing everyone with enjoyable and active later years.

You always maintain the freedom to go about your daily life as you choose. You can maintain your independence as much as you desire always with the knowledge that there is support there if you need or want it.

Your home your choice
From day one we encourage you to feel at home. You are welcome to bring your own furniture to your room or cottage and accessorise with your personal items to really make it your own. If you need more specialist equipment, for example, hospital beds or bed lifts we can supply these for you. Guests are welcome to visit as you choose and are given access to the facilities including making a cuppa if they want one or joining us for a meal.
Enjoying life at Bernhard Baron Care Home
We believe our Residents should be given the opportunity to continue to enjoy the hobbies or interests they had before moving in with us, as well as having the opportunity to join in with new ones. Therefore, with the help of current Residents, we have developed a comprehensive calendar of events, often with several different activities available on a single day. There’s usually something to join in with and enjoy if you wish. If you have any ideas for new activities let the team know they’d love to hear your thoughts.

Independence is encouraged, of course, so if your activities take you out at dinner time just let us know and we’ll arrange an early or late lunch.

Your care plan
A detailed care plan is agreed to ensure we meet your personal, medical and social needs. We have automated our care plan management system so that they are easily accessible by relevant staff and they are updated monthly as your needs change.
We will manage your medications for you if you wish and even accompany you to the doctor if you need support.

Help at hand
If you have a question, concern or request then everyone is there to help. Whilst the team have individual responsibilities, for example, providing care, housekeeping, chef or admin we are united in our promise to be there for you.
​
Every month we meet with the Residents’ Forum (five Residents are chosen by you to represent everyone) and three times a year we meet with all residents in the main lounge. Our dedicated trustees visit regularly and when they come for a Trustee Meeting they sit with the Residents. The Trustees also want to get to know you and want to ensure you are enjoying life at Bernhard Baron Care Home.
