Overview

Bernhard Baron Care Home is seeking reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistants to join our dedicated kitchen team. You'll support the Head Chef and members of the Kitchen Team in providing nutritious, freshly prepared meals for our Residents while helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment.

 

We currently have two part-time vacancies available, and applicants are welcome to apply for either role or both. (Please note we do not accept Sponsorship applications.)

Kitcehn Assistant duties:

  • Assist with serving meals and drinks to Residents, staff and visitors.

  • Wash dishes, cooking utensils, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen.

  • Support the Chefs with basic food preparation tasks.

  • Help with receiving and storing deliveries.

  • Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures.

  • Work positively as part of a caring and supportive team.

What We're Looking For

  • Reliable and punctual.

  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Good attention to detail and cleanliness.

  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

  • Previous kitchen experience is welcome but not essential as full training will be provided.

Pay rate:  

Kitchen Assistant-under 18: £11.20 

Kitchen Assistant-over 18 £13.45 

 

Available Shifts:

Vacancy 1 - 6 hours per week

  • Thursday: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

  • Saturday: 5:00pm to 7:00pm

  • Sunday: 5:15pm to 7:15pm

Vacancy 2 - 11 hours per week

  • Saturday: 8:30am to 2:00pm

  • Sunday: 9:00am to 2:30pm
