This week, our Residents enjoyed a calming and restorative mobility session with Nicole from Yoga4Life Eastbourne. The session focused on gentle movements designed to improve flexibility, support joint health, and encourage relaxation.

Nicole introduced the group to the Hoberman sphere—a brightly coloured, expandable ball often used in wellness and therapeutic practices. The sphere became both a visual and tactile aid, helping Residents connect with their breath. As the sphere expanded, they inhaled deeply; as it closed, they exhaled slowly, creating a mindful rhythm that was easy to follow.
The Residents enjoyed using their hands to guide the sphere’s movement, making the breathing exercises more interactive and engaging. Many found the practice soothing, with the combination of gentle mobility and breathwork leaving them relaxed yet energised.
Sessions like this highlight the importance of holistic wellbeing, where movement, breath, and mindfulness come together to support both body and mind. A huge thank you to Nicole for leading such an uplifting class—we look forward to welcoming her back soon!
