Harvest Festival

We celebrated the Harvest this week! A huge thank you to our Residents for their thoughtful contributions to our beautiful Harvest display.

"We have had a splendid weekend of celebrations for our Harvest festival. Residents gave generously for a display of groceries topped by a large  harvest loaf from our chefs. We were led in our Sunday service by a very dynamic and jolly Salvation  Army Major, Christine Walker who kept us amused as well as uplifted. The produce was , of course, donated to them for the amazing work they do with those in need ."

"A small team had been hard at work making  decorations in autumnal colours helped by Maria and Nicky and these brightened up the dining room for our special Harvest Supper laid out for us by Tony and Janet and the  girls, and and our chefs provided a generous fare of meats and salads , finished off with a traditional harvest apple pie".

"What an amazing weekend of harvest celebrations, ending with the rising of the  aptly named Harvest full moon appearing through the trees and up into a clear sky. Could it be bettered anywhere else? No!!"- Janet W (Resident)

All donations will be going to The Salvation Army, helping to support those in need within our community. A lovely way to share kindness and gratitude this season!
