Our Main Building
Beyond the cottages, at the end of our drive, is our main building, which has 34 en suite rooms for residents who need an extra level of support. It is also the warm social hub of our care home in Sussex.
These attractive, airy rooms overlook the grounds and the majority have doors opening directly onto the gardens. You can furnish them as you please with personal belongings to make the room your own.
In addition to providing all-inclusive care and assisted living for individuals, we pride ourselves in our facilities for couples to ensure they can continue living together. If couples move from one of our cottages or come directly into the main building from their previous home, they have two rooms - some with connecting doors - which can be used as a lounge and bedroom or two bed-sitting rooms. Inside the main building you’ll also find our central dining room and kitchen, a choice of three lounges, including two with tea and coffee making facilities that are freely available, a hairdressing salon, laundry and our administration and management offices. Additionally, we have wet rooms and assisted bathrooms equipped lifting equipment.
Our main building is the heart of the Bernhard Baron Care Home, where all residents are welcome to meet for their main midday meal, take part in our busy programme of varied activities, listen to music, watch a film, join in a religious service or simply come and read the newspaper.
