We were delighted to receive a kind invitation from one of our Residents’ daughters to visit their home — the beautiful Globe Place in Hellingly. With seven acres of open paddocks and exquisite gardens, it was a picture-perfect setting for a summer outing.

As part of the National Open Garden Scheme, Globe Place showcases horticulture at its finest.

Adding to the joy of the afternoon were two cheeky little sausage dogs, who kept our Residents smiling and entertained with their playful antics.

But the highlight? A lovely swing on the giant swing and the hosts had thoughtfully prepared a wonderful afternoon tea for everyone to enjoy. We gathered around tables set under the open sky, enjoying Victoria sponge, Teas and blueberries, and thick, whipped cream.
