A Step Back in Time at Pevensey Castle
Our Residents recently enjoyed a wonderful day out to Pevensey Castle in East Sussex, taking in the historic surroundings, exploring the impressive ruins and enjoying time together.

Pevensey Castle has an incredible history stretching back more than 1,700 years. The site was first fortified by the Romans in around AD 290, when a huge Roman fort was built there. Many of its impressive walls survive today, giving visitors a real sense of just how important the site once was.
Our residents had a lovely time taking in the surroundings and discovering a little of the remarkable history right here on our doorstep. There was plenty to see and talk about as we made our way around this fascinating Sussex landmark.
Of course, no BBCH outing would be complete without some refreshments! After exploring the castle, we stopped off at the shop and tea room, where everyone was able to relax and enjoy some well-earned refreshments together.
It was a lovely day filled with history, fresh air, good company and plenty of conversation.
