A Wonderful Summer Afternoon at Globe Place Gardens

Our residents recently enjoyed a truly memorable afternoon at the beautiful Globe Place gardens in Hellingly, kindly hosted by the daughter of one of our residents.

Set within seven acres of stunning grounds, the gardens offered plenty to explore, from colourful flower borders and peaceful ponds to open paddocks and wildflower meadows. With glorious sunshine overhead and nature all around, it was the perfect setting for a relaxing summer outing.

As we wandered through the grounds, residents admired the variety of plants and wildlife, taking in the sights, sounds and scents of the season. One particularly picturesque area featured a tranquil pond surrounded by tall reeds, creating a peaceful retreat and a wonderful opportunity for photographs.

After exploring the gardens, everyone gathered together for a delicious afternoon tea in the sunshine. Long tables were decorated with fresh flowers and laden with an incredible selection of homemade treats. Residents enjoyed fresh strawberries, beautifully baked cakes and refreshments while spending quality time with friends and chatting about the wonderful surroundings.

The impressive cake selection became a real talking point, with tempting chocolate cake, creamy cheesecake and a colourful sponge cake proving particularly popular. The bright yellow tablecloths, fresh summer blooms and stunning garden backdrop made the occasion feel extra special.

Of course, no visit would have been complete without our four-legged hosts! The resident sausage dogs delighted everyone with their playful antics and quickly became the stars of the afternoon.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our resident's daughter and everyone involved in making us feel so welcome. It was a fantastic day filled with laughter, friendship, delicious food and the beauty of the English countryside.

Creating opportunities like these for our residents to connect with the local community and enjoy new experiences is something we value greatly, and this visit will certainly be remembered fondly by all who attended.
