This week we had the pleasure of welcoming Encorps to perform for our Residents – and what a treat it was!
Encorps is a community band with a beautiful story. Originally formed around 8 years ago as Rebourne Band, the group grew out of the Rebourne Corner Day Centre for the homeless and vulnerable. It brought together volunteers, singers, and musicians – many of whom found comfort and connection through music during some very difficult times.
Three years ago, the band evolved into Encorps – and today they welcome anyone who enjoys singing or playing an instrument. Their performances mix well-known secular favourites with songs of faith, always tailored to the audience.
They share their music with care homes and community venues completely free of charge – though donations are always appreciated to support their wonderful work.
Our Residents loved every moment, and we’re so grateful to Encorps for bringing joy, memories, and music into our home.
