Nearly 50 Years of Dedicated Care

Today, we said a heartfelt farewell to two much-loved members of our care team.

After more than 26 years of dedicated service, Yolen is retiring. Throughout her time with us, she has shown incredible kindness, compassion and commitment to our Residents, their families and her colleagues. Earlier this year, Yolen's dedication was recognised when she was named Carer of the Year at the Pride of Polegate Awards – a truly well-deserved honour and a fitting tribute to her outstanding career.

We also said goodbye to Helen, who first joined Bernhard Baron Care Home in 2002 as a Night Carer before moving into the role of Weekend Carer in 2018. Over almost 24 years, Helen has been a valued and caring member of our team, making a real difference to the lives of so many Residents. She is now leaving to spend more time with her family.

To celebrate their many years of dedication, we enjoyed a special cream tea together with our Residents and staff, sharing fond memories and wishing them both all the very best for the future.

Thank you both for your years of dedication, friendship and exceptional care. Your kindness, commitment and compassion have touched the lives of countless Residents, families and colleagues over the years.

We wish you both every happiness for the future. You will always be part of the Bernhard Baron Care Home family and will be greatly missed by us all.
