Today, we had the pleasure of taking our residents on a delightful and enriching outing to Bexhill Museum, nestled in Egerton Park, Bexhill-on-Sea.

There was so much to see, including The Sargent Gallery, which welcomed us with a charming Edwardian museum feel, showcasing seashells, dinosaur fossils, preserved birds and insects, artefacts from Ancient Egypt and Peru, and local archaeological finds.

In the Costume Gallery, we explored fashions across the centuries — from elegant gowns to vintage accessories.

The Technology Collection was a big hit with everyone. We saw a replica of the steam-driven Serpollet car (celebrating Bexhill’s claim as the birthplace of British motor racing in 1902), a 1958 Mk III Elva racing car, and even a world-record–breaking electric car.
