We are delighted to share that we have asked Trudi Knight to take on the role of Head of Home, and she has happily accepted our offer. In this position, Trudi will lead our senior management team, bringing her expertise, dedication, and vision to guide the home forward. We look forward to the positive impact her leadership will have on our community.
Following the announcement, Trudi Knight shared a heartfelt message with our residents and staff, expressing her gratitude and outlining her vision for the home:
I just want to say how grateful I am to Trustees for placing their trust in me. BBCH is such a special place, and I feel privileged to be able to lead a community full of people that care so much about each other.
To our Residents – your wellbeing and happiness will always be at the centre of what we do. This is your home, and we want you to feel safe, cared for, respected and valued every single day.
To our staff – thank you for your incredible dedication and compassion. I couldn’t do this without you, and I will do everything I can to support you and I believe that by working together, rooted in our Quaker values, we can continue to build a home where kindness, compassion and respect are felt by everyone who lives and works here.
As well as the senior management team, I will also be working closely with, and supported by, our Trustees to make sure we continue to deliver the aims of the home and I recognise that part of my role is to balance our responsibility to our Residents and staff with the need to keep the home sustainable and viable for the future. I will work hard to make thoughtful, fair decisions that ensure we can continue to provide excellent care for many years to come.
Thank you again for your trust and support. I am excited to begin this new chapter with you all
